Effective: September 28, 1979 Latest Legislation: House Bill 674 - 113th General Assembly When a married woman sues or is sued, proceedings shall be had and judgment shall be rendered and enforced as if she were unmarried. Her property and estate is liable for a judgment against her, but she is entitled to the benefits of all applicable exemptions provided by statute.
