Effective: October 3, 2023 Latest Legislation: House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly (A)(1) The owner of any well, except a horizontal well, that is producing or capable of producing oil or gas shall file with the chief of the division of oil and gas resources management, on or before the thirty-first day of March, a statement of production of oil, gas, and brine for the last preceding calendar year in such form as the chief may prescribe. An owner that has more than one hundred such wells in this state shall submit electronically the statement of production in a format that is approved by the chief. (2) The owner of any horizontal well that is producing or capable of producing oil or gas shall file with the chief, on the forty-fifth day following the close of each calendar quarter, a statement of production of oil, gas, and brine for the preceding calendar quarter in a form that the chief prescribes. An owner that has more than one hundred horizontal wells in this state shall submit electronically the statement of production in a format that is approved by the chief. (B) The chief shall not disclose information received from the department of taxation under section 5703.21 of the Revised Code until the statement of production required by division (A) of this section and related to that information is filed with the chief.
