Effective: September 29, 2007 Latest Legislation: House Bill 119 - 127th General Assembly The state, or any county, township, municipal corporation, conservancy district, or park board that has entered into a contract under section 1506.43 of the Revised Code, may acquire lands by gift or devise, purchase, or appropriation. In case of appropriation, the proceedings shall be instituted in the name of the state or the political subdivision and shall be conducted in the manner provided for the appropriation of private property by the state or the political subdivision insofar as those proceedings are applicable. Either the fee or any lesser interest may be acquired as the state or the political subdivision considers advisable.
