Effective: December 20, 2005 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 107 - 126th General Assembly A surety of a constable, township fiscal officer, or other township officer, may notify the board of township trustees, by giving at least five days' notice in writing, that the surety is unwilling to continue as surety for the officer and, at a time named in the notice, will make application to the board to be released from further liability upon the bond. The surety also shall give at least three days' notice in writing to the officer of the time and place at which the application will be made.
