Effective: April 7, 2023 Latest Legislation: House Bill 458 - 134th General Assembly When the result of the election of any officer mentioned in section 107.05 of the Revised Code is officially known to the board of elections of the proper county, the board shall immediately forward by mail to the secretary of state a certificate of election of such officer. Upon receipt of the certificate by the secretary of state, the governor shall issue a commission to the officer and for the office named in the certificate, and shall forward the commission to the clerk of the court of common pleas, who shall deliver the commission to the officer named therein.
