Effective: March 9, 1999 Latest Legislation: House Bill 649 - 122nd General Assembly During the absence or disability of the clerk of the senate, clerk of the house of representatives, or sergeant at arms of either house, the respective house of the general assembly may constitute one of the assistant clerks, clerk pro tempore, or one of the assistant sergeant at arms, sergeant at arms pro tempore, and the assistant so appointed shall have the powers to perform the duties required of the assistant's principal.
