recognized Indian tribe. A bank, upon the deposit with it of funds by a federally recognized Indian tribe, or an officer, employee, or agent thereof in that person's official capacity, may give security for the safekeeping and repayment of the funds deposited by a pledge of securities of the same kind and to the same extent as is authorized by section 21 -04-09 in the case of deposits of public funds by public corporations.
