Renewal - Forfeiture

1. A holder of a certificate of registration as an architect or a landscape architect shall 
apply to renew the certificate and pay the associated renewal fee or a special fee 
when due. Application for renewal must be accompanied by evidence satisfactory to 

the board of compliance with this chapter. Failure of a certificate holder to timely renew 
the certificate and pay the associated renewal fee before the expiration of the 
certificate results in forfeiture of the certificate.
2. At least two months before the date of the expiration of a certificate of registration, the 
secretary-treasurer shall notify the certificate holder of the upcoming expiration and at 
least two weeks before the expiration date the secretary -treasurer shall notify any 
outstanding certificate holders by certified mail, at the certificate holder's last -known 
address, of the upcoming expiration and resulting forfeiture.
