Depositions. The officer who executes a warrant for an offense triable in another county shall take the accused before the nearest or most accessible magistrate of the county in which the offense is triable and shall deliver to the magistrate the complaint and the depositions, if any, and the warrant, with the officer's return endorsed thereon, and the magistrate then shall proceed in the same manner as upon a warrant issued by that magistrate.
