In cooperation with other public and private entities, the superintendent of public instruction may: 1. Study methods to improve and expand child nutrition and food distribution programs; 2. Study methods to promote nutrition education in schools; 3. Conduct appraisals regarding the nutritive benefits and other benefits of child nutrition and food distribution programs; and 4. Report the findings and recommendations to the governor.
