School district reorganization - Proposal rejection - Revision - New

1. If the electors reject the reorganization plan, the county committee, after a period of 
three months from the date of the special election, may hold a public hearing as 
provided for in section 15.1 -12-10 to consider a revised reorganization plan proposed 
by the participating school districts. If the county committee approves a revised plan, 
the county superintendent shall submit the revised plan to the state board for approval.
2. If the state board approves the revised plan, it shall notify the county superintendent of 
schools. A county superintendent receiving notice under this section shall follow the 
procedures set forth in this chapter for calling a special election to approve or reject 
the revised plan. If a majority of the electors residing within each school district vote to 
approve the revised reorganization plan, the county superintendent shall make the 
necessary adjustments of property, debts, and liabilities and perform all duties required 
by law in order to establish and organize the new school district.
