(a) The North Carolina Medical Board is empowered to adopt rules that prescribe additional qualifications for an applicant, including education and examination requirements and application procedures. (b) The Board shall not deny an application for licensure based solely on the applicant's failure to become board certified. (c) By submitting an application for licensure, the applicant submits to the jurisdiction of the Board.
