§ 22. Revenues and benefits from sources other than this chapter. 1.\nBenefits, savings or insurance of the injured or deceased volunteer\nfirefighter, or insurance carried for his benefit under subsection (a)\nof section four thousand two hundred thirty-seven of the insurance law,\nshall not be considered in determining the benefits to be paid and\nprovided under this chapter, nor shall such benefits be diminished or\nreduced by reason of the payment to an injured volunteer firefighter of\nsalary, wages or other remuneration by any political subdivision liable\nfor the payment of such benefits.\n  2. Benefits received from any political subdivision pursuant to\nservice award payments authorized by article eleven-A of the general\nmunicipal law shall not be considered in determining the benefits to be\npaid and provided under this chapter.\n
