§ 9-908 Referendum on acts or resolutions of the board of trustees\nwithout petition. The board of trustees may, upon its own motion, cause\nto be submitted for the approval of the qualified electors of such\nvillage, an act or resolution of such board in connection with which a\npetition could be filed as provided in this article and the proceedings\nthereunder shall be the same as if such petition had been filed in\naccordance with the provisions of this article.\n
