Contracts with other municipalities, sewer districts, et cetera

§ 14-1436 Contracts with other municipalities, sewer districts, et\ncetera. The board of sewer commissioners may contract for the connection\nof the sewerage system thereof with the sewerage system of another\nvillage, or of a town, or city, or of a sewer district or wastewater\ndisposal district established under the provisions of article twelve of\nthe town law; or jointly with such other village or a town or city or\nsewer district or wastewater disposal district established as aforesaid,\nmay construct, maintain, operate or use sewers, outlets or disposal\nworks or private on-site wastewater disposal systems; or may contract\nwith any such other village, or town, or city, or sewer district or\nwastewater disposal district established as aforesaid for the right to\nconstruct and maintain through any such other village, town or city, or\nsewer district or wastewater disposal district established as aforesaid,\nan outlet sewer, including the right to acquire real property for such\nsewer outlet, which thereupon may be acquired either at private sale or\nby condemnation as authorized by this act. No sewerage system of any\nother village, town or sewer district or wastewater disposal district\nthereof, or city, shall be constructed in any village without the\napproval of the board of sewer commissioners of the village in which\nsuch sewerage system shall be constructed, and no such contract shall be\nmade unless a resolution therefor be adopted by the trustees of the\nvillage constructing the sewerage system, stating the maximum expense.\n
