§ 509-y. Rules and regulations. The commissioner of transportation, in\nconsultation with the commissioner, is hereby authorized to adopt rules\nand regulations to implement the provisions of this article which shall\nbe no less protective of public safety than the rules and regulations\npromulgated by the federal government with respect to the qualifications\nand disqualifications of drivers.\n
