* § 404-v. Distinctive "Love your library" plates. 1. Any person\nresiding in this state shall, upon request, be issued a distinctive\n"Love your library" license plate of a design approved by the\ncommissioner. Application for said license plate shall be filed with the\ncommissioner in such form and detail as the commissioner shall\nprescribe.\n 2. A distinctive plate issued pursuant to this section shall be issued\nin the same manner as other number plates upon the payment of the\nregular registration fee prescribed by section four hundred one of this\narticle provided, however, that an additional annual service charge of\ntwenty-five dollars shall be charged for such plate. All moneys received\nas annual service charges under this section shall be deposited to the\ncredit of the love your library fund established pursuant to section\nninety-nine-l of the state finance law; and shall be used for library\nrelated programs and resources authorized by the commissioner of\neducation. Provided, however, that one year after the effective date of\nthis section, funds in the amount of six thousand dollars, or so much\nthereof as may be available, shall be allocated to the department to\noffset costs associated with the production of such license plates.\n * NB There are 7 § 404-v's\n
