* § 404-v. Distinctive plates for members of the Eighth Air Force\nHistorical Society. 1. Any member of the Eighth Air Force Historical\nSociety residing in this state shall, upon request, be issued a license\nplate bearing the words "Eighth Air Force". Application for said license\nplate shall be filed with the commissioner in such form and detail as\nthe commissioner shall prescribe.\n  2. The distinctive plate authorized in this section shall be issued\nupon proof, satisfactory to the commissioner, that the applicant is a\nmember of the Eighth Air Force Historical Society.\n  3. A distinctive plate issued pursuant to this section shall be issued\nin the same manner as other number plates upon the payment of the\nregular registration fee prescribed by section four hundred one of this\narticle, provided, however, that an additional annual service charge of\nfifteen dollars shall be charged for such plate. Such annual service\ncharge shall be deposited to the credit of the Eighth Air Force\nHistorical Society fund established pursuant to section ninety-five-f of\nthe state finance law and shall be used for veterans' counseling\nservices provided by local veterans' service agencies pursuant to\nsection fourteen of the veterans' services law under the direction of\nthe department of veterans' services. Provided, however, that one year\nafter the effective date of this section funds in the amount of five\nthousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be available, shall be\nallocated to the department to offset costs associated with the\nproduction of such license plates.\n  * NB There are 7 § 404-v's\n
