* § 404-p. Distinctive "Animal Population Control Fund" license\nplates.  1. On or after October first, nineteen hundred ninety-six, any\nperson residing in this state shall, upon request, be issued a\ndistinctive "Animal Population Control Fund" license plate of a design\napproved by the commissioner. Application for said license plate shall\nbe filed with the commissioner in such form and detail as the\ncommissioner shall prescribe.\n  2. A distinctive Animal Population Control Fund plate issued pursuant\nto this section shall be issued in the same manner as other number\nplates upon the payment of the regular registration fee prescribed by\nsection four hundred one of this article provided, however, that an\nadditional annual service charge of twenty-five dollars shall be charged\nfor such plate. All monies received as annual service charges under this\nsection shall be deposited to the credit of the animal population\ncontrol fund established pursuant to section ninety-seven-xx of the\nstate finance law, and shall be used for animal population control\nprograms undertaken pursuant to section one hundred seventeen-a of the\nagriculture and markets law.\n  * NB There are 2 § 404-p's\n
