§ 390. Inspection of motor vehicles and motorcycles. The\nsuperintendent of state police shall cause inspection to be made of the\nmotor vehicles and motorcycles operating on the public highways to\ndetect inadequacy of equipment, overloading and other violations of law\ngoverning the use of the public highways by motor vehicles and\nmotorcycles.\n
