§ 314. Charges for notice of strays. The person delivering the notice\nto the town clerk shall be entitled to receive therefor, in addition to\nthe fees paid the town clerk, fifteen cents each for all horses, mules,\ncattle and swine, and five cents for each other beasts described in the\nnotice. If the charges, damages, costs and fees are not agreed upon\nbetween the person delivering the notice and the owner of the beasts,\nthey shall be determined by two fence viewers of the town, one of whom\nshall be selected by the person claiming the lien, the other by the\nfence viewer so selected. If such fence viewers cannot agree, they shall\nselect another to act with them, and the decision of any two of them\nshall be final.\n
