§ 24-b. Election of council members and town justices in the town of\nPawling. Notwithstanding the provisions of section twenty-four of this\narticle or any other general or special law, the town board of the town\nof Pawling in Dutchess county, may by a resolution adopted at least\nninety days prior to the general election to be held in November of\nnineteen hundred sixty-nine, provide that at the general election to be\nheld in November of nineteen hundred sixty-nine, one town council member\nbe elected for a term of two years and one town council member be\nelected for a term of four years and thereafter at each biennial town\nelection there shall be elected one town council member for a term of\nfour years. Such resolution may also provide that at the general\nelection to be held in November of nineteen hundred sixty-nine, one town\njustice be elected for a term of four years and thereafter at each\nbiennial town election there shall be elected one town justice for a\nterm of four years.\n
