Powers and duties of municipalities

§ 483. Powers and duties of municipalities. A municipality is hereby\nauthorized:\n  1. To undertake and carry out any municipal transportation\ninfrastructure project for which state assistance is received or is to\nbe received pursuant to this article.\n  2. To expend money received from the state together with other moneys\navailable to it for costs incurred for any such project.\n  3. To contract with any person, firm, corporation or agency, either\ngovernmental or private, for the purpose of accomplishing the purposes\nof this article.\n  4. To apply for and receive moneys of the state, federal and local\ngovernments and other public or private sources for the purpose of\naccomplishing projects undertaken or to be undertaken pursuant to this\narticle.\n  5. To perform such other and further acts as may be necessary, proper\nor desirable in order to carry out municipal transportation\ninfrastructure projects or any obligation, duty or function relating\nthereto.\n
