§ 52-b. Governor may execute deed or release with sundry reservations;\nPershing Center, West Point Military Reservation. 1. Notwithstanding\nsection fifty-seven of this article, the governor is hereby authorized\nto cede to the United States full concurrent jurisdiction over the\ntracts of land comprising the Pershing Center, United States Military\nAcademy, West Point Military Reservation, acquired by the United States\nfor military purposes upon conditions that the jurisdiction so ceded\nshould not prevent the execution on such tracts of any process, civil or\ncriminal, issued under the authority of this state, nor prevent from\noperating within the bounds of such tracts any of the laws or\nregulations of the state, not incompatible with the free use and\nenjoyment of the premises by the United States or the purposes for which\nsuch cession is made, nor prevent from operating within the same tracts\nor parcels of land the laws or ordinances of the county of Orange, town\nof Highlands, or the village of Highland Falls, not incompatible with\nthe free use and enjoyment of the premises by the United States or the\npurposes for which such cession is made; and that the United States\nshall retain such jurisdiction so long only as such tracts or parcels of\nland shall be used for military purposes.\n 2. Sections fifty-two, fifty-three, fifty-five and fifty-six of this\narticle shall not apply to the provisions of this section.\n
