Quality child care and protection fund

* § 97-www. Quality child care and protection fund. 1. There is hereby\nestablished in the joint custody of the state comptroller and the\ncommissioner of taxation and finance a fund to be known as the "quality\nchild care and protection fund".\n  2. The quality child care and protection fund shall consist of moneys\nreceived by the state pursuant to subdivision eleven of section three\nhundred ninety of the social services law and all other moneys\nappropriated, credited or transferred thereto from any other fund or\nsource.\n  3. Moneys of the quality child care and protection fund, following\nappropriation by the legislature and allocation by the director of the\nbudget, shall be made available to the commissioner of the office of\nchildren and family services to provide grants to child day care\nproviders for health and safety purposes, for training of child day care\nprovider staff and other activities to increase the availability and/or\nquality of child care programs.\n  4. The commissioner of the office of children and family services\nshall submit a report to the governor, temporary president of the senate\nand the speaker of the assembly on an annual basis commencing on August\nthirty-first, two thousand one concerning the implementation of this\nsection. This report shall include information on the amount of funds\nmade available to the commissioner of the office of children and family\nservices and the use of such funds.\n  * NB There are 4 § 97-www's\n
