§ 102-b. Small business liaison. The departments of agriculture and\nmarkets, environmental conservation, labor, transportation, and taxation\nand finance shall designate an existing employee to serve as the liaison\nto small businesses regulated by such agency. The direct contact\ninformation of the small business liaison shall be prominently posted\nand easily accessible on the agency website. The small business liaison\nshall:\n (a) serve as an initial primary contact for small businesses to\ncontact with any inquiries;\n (b) be equipped to provide small businesses with basic information on\nthe agency and its regulations;\n (c) help small businesses navigate the agency bureaucracy to identify\nand contact the appropriate staff person within the agency, either at\nthe state or regional level, for more specific information pertaining to\nthe small business;\n (d) hear the concerns of small businesses, report those concerns to\nappropriate agency staff and offer possible solutions to such concerns;\n (e) advocate within the agency on behalf of small businesses, and make\nrecommendations to the agency head on matters affecting small\nbusinesses;\n (f) initiate and encourage small business education and outreach\nprograms on behalf of the agency, as appropriate;\n (g) collaborate with the appropriate agency staff on any small\nbusiness regulation guide pursuant to section one hundred two-a and any\nsmall business regulatory flexibility analysis pursuant to section two\nhundred two-b of this chapter; and\n (h) coordinate his or her activities with the division for small\nbusiness within the department of economic development, and the small\nbusiness development center.\n
