§ 507-i. Disability benefits; Westchester county district attorney\ninvestigators. The county of Westchester may elect to make the benefits\nprovided in this section available to criminal investigators, senior\ncriminal investigators, deputy chief criminal investigators, and chief\ncriminal investigators who are in the employ of the Westchester county\ndistrict attorney. Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter or any\ngeneral or special law to the contrary, any condition of impairment of\nhealth caused by diseases of the heart, resulting in the disability or\ndeath to a member covered by this section, presently employed and who\nshall have sustained such disability while so employed, who successfully\npassed a physical examination on entry into service as a member covered\nby this section, which examination failed to disclose evidence of any\ndisease or other impairment of the heart, shall be presumptive evidence\nthat it was incurred in the performance and discharge of duty, unless\nthe contrary can be proved by competent evidence.\n
