§ 216. Constitutional convention delegates and employees. a.\nNotwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this article or\nany other section of this chapter or any other provision of any general\nor local law, a member retired from any public pension system of the\nstate, elected as a delegate of the convention to revise and amend the\nconstitution of the state in the year nineteen hundred sixty-seven, or\nserving as an employee of such convention may serve and earn\ncompensation in such position without any effect on his status as such\nretired member and without suspension or diminution of his retirement\nallowance.\n b. Member service credit may not be purchased or granted in any\nretirement system or pension plan administered by the state or any of\nits political subdivisions for any period of service in the capacity\nprescribed by subdivision a.\n
