§ 444-o. Violations and penalties for unlicensed activities. Any\nperson subject to an administrative order issued by the secretary\ndirecting the cessation of any activity for which a license is required\nand/or suspending or revoking a license previously issued who directly\nor indirectly engages in the business of home inspection, holds himself,\nherself, or itself out to the public as being able to engage in the\nbusiness of home inspection without a license therefor, engages in the\nbusiness of home inspection after having his or her license revoked or\nsuspended, or without a license to engage in the business of home\ninspection, directly or indirectly employs, permits or authorizes an\nunlicensed person to engage in the business of home inspection shall be\nguilty of a misdemeanor and upon the first conviction thereof shall be\nsentenced to a fine of not more than one thousand dollars; upon a second\nor subsequent conviction thereof shall be sentenced to a fine of not\nless than one thousand dollars nor more than five thousand dollars. Each\nviolation of this article shall be deemed a separate offense.\n
