§ 1025. Damages against grantee of premises subject to dower. If the\ndefendant, in an action for dower, aliens the real property in question\nafter the filing of a notice of pendency of action and an execution\nagainst him for the plaintiff's damages is returned wholly or partly\nunsatisfied, an action may be maintained by the plaintiff against any\nperson who has been in possession of the property under the defendant's\nconveyance, to recover the unsatisfied portion of the damages, for a\ntime not exceeding that during which he possessed the property.\n
