Re-incorporation of existing corporations

§ 296. Re-incorporation of existing corporations. Any heretofore\nincorporated church, congregation, parish, society, or committee, to\nwhich this article is applicable, may re-incorporate under the\nprovisions of this article by the same procedure hereinbefore set forth\nfor incorporation substituting, at appropriate places, the word\n"re-incorporate" for "incorporate" and filing the certificate of\nre-incorporation in the office of the county clerk in the county in\nwhich its principal place of worship or office is located. Immediately\nupon the filing of such certificate all the right, title, equity and\ninterest of such organization or corporation in any estate, real or\npersonal, together with all franchise and charter rights, shall be\nvested in the corporation so created under this article, and the\noriginal corporation shall be null and void.\n
