§ 274. Incorporation. An unincorporated church of the Nazarene may\nbecome incorporated as a church, by executing, acknowledging and filing\na certificate of incorporation, stating the corporate name by which such\nchurch shall be known, and the county, town, city or village where its\nprincipal place of worship is or is intended to be located.\n  A certificate of incorporation of unincorporated churches of the\nNazarene, shall be executed and acknowledged by the district\nsuperintendent of the district in which its principal place of worship\nis located, or in case of his absence or inability to act, by one of the\ngeneral superintendents of the church of the Nazarene of the United\nStates, and by the laymen, members of such church, who shall be selected\nas the first trustees thereof by said official.\n  In filing the said certificate, said church shall be a corporation by\nthe name stated in the certificate.\n
