§ 265. The certificate of incorporation. If the meeting shall decide\nthat such unincorporated church shall become incorporated, the presiding\nofficer of such meeting and the two inspectors of election shall execute\na certificate setting forth the name of the proposed corporation, the\nnumber of trustees thereof, the names of the persons elected as\ntrustees, the terms of office for which they were respectively elected,\nand the county or town, city or village in which its principal place of\nworship is, or is intended to be located. The name of such church as\nadopted shall bear the words "in connection with the General Assembly of\nSpiritualists." On the filing and recording of such certificate, after\nit shall have been acknowledged or proved as hereinbefore provided, the\npersons qualified to vote at such meeting and those persons who shall\nthereafter, from time to time be qualified voters at the corporate\nmeetings thereof, shall be a corporation by the name stated in such\ncertificate, and the persons therein stated to be elected trustees of\nsuch church shall be the trustees thereof for the terms for which they\nwere respectively elected and until their respective successors shall be\nelected.\n
