§ 66. Interchangeable use of gender neutral and gender specific titles\nof public offices. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, local\nlaw, charter, code or ordinance, a public officer may, in official\ndocuments or otherwise, refer to the name of her or his public office:\n (a) by its official title as specified in the statute, local law,\ncharter, code or ordinance creating such public office, or,\n (b) by any other gender neutral or gender indicative suffixes,\nprefixes or words which reconstruct the official name or title of such\npublic office, provided that the form of reconstruction readily permits\nthe unmistakable identification of the particular public office held by\nsuch public officer.\n
