Antimicrobial resistance prevention and education

* § 2803-z. Antimicrobial resistance prevention and education. 1.\nEvery general hospital and nursing home shall comply with and meet all\napplicable requirements of the federal Medicare and Medicaid conditions\nof participation for antimicrobial stewardship programs in health care\nfacilities, including training requirements regarding antimicrobial\nresistance and infection prevention and control. Additionally, such\nprogram shall incorporate an ongoing process to measure the impact of\nthe program, including review, at least annually, of antimicrobial\nutilization data with development of response plans for high or\nincreasing utilization.\n  2. The commissioner shall make such rules and regulations as may be\nnecessary and proper to carry out the provisions of this section.\n  * NB There are 2 § 2803-z's\n
