§ 2803-c-1. Rights of patients in certain medical facilities;\nlong-term care ombudsman program. 1. Each nursing home and residential\nhealth care facility providing health related service, as defined in\nsubdivisions two and three and paragraph (b) of subdivision four of\nsection twenty-eight hundred one of this article, shall post in a\nconspicuous place or places where notices to residents are customarily\nposted, and shall provide each member of the facility's staff, and each\npatient and their appointed personal representative at or prior to the\ntime of admission to the facility, or at the time of the\nrepresentative's appointment, the following contact information:\n (a) contact information for the state and relevant regional office of\nthe long-term care ombudsman program as provided for in section two\nhundred eighteen of the elder law; and\n (b) contact information for the department's nursing home complaint\nhotline.\n 2. Nursing homes and residential health care facilities shall provide\nupdated contact information for the state and relevant regional offices\nof the long-term care ombudsman program to all residents and their\nappointed personal representatives twice a year.\n
