§ 659. Construction contracts. The authority shall let contracts for\nconstruction in the same manner, so far as practicable, as is provided\nby law for contracts of the county, except that where the estimated\nexpense of a contract does not exceed two thousand five hundred dollars,\nsuch contract may be entered into without public letting. Nothing in\nthis section shall be construed to limit the power of the authority to\ndo any construction directly by the officers, agents and employees of\nthe authority.\n
