Acquisition of real property by the authority

§ 358-a. Acquisition of real property by the authority. On assuming\njurisdiction of a thruway section or connection or any part thereof, or\nof a highway connection, the authority may from time to time determine\nwhat real property is necessary for the construction, improvement and\noperation of such thruway section or connection or part thereof, or of a\nhighway connection, in addition to real property acquired or to be\nacquired by the state, and thereupon may acquire such real property by\ncondemnation pursuant to the condemnation law. The authority may also,\nand in any case, acquire real property in the name of the state by deed\nand may pay such price therefor as shall be agreed with the owner\nthereof.\n
