§ 2547. Actions against the corporation. (a) Except in an action for\nwrongful death, an action against the corporation for personal injury or\nproperty damage or founded on tort shall not be commenced more than one\nyear and ninety days after the cause of action thereof shall have\naccrued nor unless a notice of claim shall have been served on a\ndirector of the corporation or officer or employee thereof designated by\nthe corporation for such purpose, within the time limited by, and in\ncompliance with the requirements of section fifty-e of the general\nmunicipal law. An action against the corporation for wrongful death\nshall be commenced in accordance with the notice of claim and time\nlimitation provisions of title eleven of article nine of this chapter.\n  (b) The venue of every action, suit or special proceeding brought\nagainst the corporation shall be laid in the county of New York.\n  (c) Neither any director of the corporation nor any officer, employee,\nor agent of the corporation, while acting within the scope of their\nauthority, shall be subject to any personal liability resulting from\nexercising or carrying out of any of the corporation's purposes or\npowers.\n
