School energy efficiency collaboration program

§ 1882. School energy efficiency collaboration program. 1. The purpose\nof the school energy collaborative program shall be to reduce\nredundancies, raise awareness and promote the efficient implementation\nof public school energy projects across New York state.\n  2. In developing this multidisciplinary collaborative program, the\nauthority shall work in partnership with the New York power authority,\nthe Long Island power authority, the state education department, the New\nYork association of school business officials, the New York state school\nboards association, energy service companies, utility programs and other\nschool administrators.\n  3. The authority shall serve as the lead agency in developing a\ncollaborative program by November first, two thousand seventeen and\nshall serve as the lead contact for all public schools interested in\npursuing energy efficiency projects.\n  4. The collaborative program may provide support on:\n  (a) developing the technical aspects of energy projects;\n  (b) sharing case studies and other information on completed projects;\n  (c) developing demonstrations;\n  (d) providing training opportunities for building operators;\n  (e) providing a comprehensive catalog of informational and financial\nresources available to schools pursuing energy projects; and\n  (f) anything else the collaborative deems to be appropriate in\nfurthering their purpose.\n  5. The authority shall provide all other collaborative members with\nupdated information regarding the program for further distribution. The\nstate education department may, through regular communications with\nschool districts, promote the existence of the collaboration.\n
