* § 154. Towns of Hempstead, Babylon and Islip may convey land.\nNotwithstanding the provisions of any other law, the town boards of the\ntowns of Hempstead, Babylon and Islip without the submission of a\nproposition to the people of the towns and without town meetings or any\nother authorization are hereby authorized respectively to convey to the\nstate any land and lands under water owned by said towns, respectively,\nfor the purposes of this title. Said town boards are authorized,\nrespectively, to permit the temporary use of town lands which may be\nconvenient for construction undertaken by the authority and to permit\nthe use of fill dredged from town lands under water.\n * NB (Authority abolished June 30, 1978)\n
