§ 1266-j. Metropolitan transportation authority pledge to customers.\n1. A metropolitan transportation authority pledge to customers shall be\ncreated and adopted by the metropolitan transportation authority. A copy\nof such pledge shall be posted on the web site of the authority and\nshall be posted in stations where the authority makes regular postings.\nThe authority shall post the pledge in the language or languages it\ndeems necessary and appropriate.\n 2. The metropolitan transportation authority pledge to customers shall\nbe in the form and manner as prescribed by the authority, include the\ncontact information of the authority, and include, but not be limited\nto, the following:\n (a) a description of the authority's commitment to provide safe and\nreliable services;\n (b) a description of the authority's commitment to provide timely and\naccurate information on its services;\n (c) a commitment that employees will provide service in a courteous\nmanner;\n (d) a description of the authority's commitment to maintain clean\nstations, facilities, subways and buses;\n (e) a description of the authority's policies when it comes to\narranging alternative transportation when service is interrupted;\n (f) when service is interrupted, a description of the authority's\npolicies when it comes to considering the comfort of inconvenienced\ncustomers;\n (g) when service is interrupted due to weather conditions, a\ndescription of the authority's policies on notifying customers;\n (h) when service is severely interrupted, a description of the\nauthority's policies on service restoration.\n 3. The authority from time to time may, update and amend the\nmetropolitan transportation authority pledge to customers as it deems\nnecessary and proper and may adopt rules and regulations for the proper\nadministration of this section.\n
