§ 1194. Title not affected if in part unconstitutional. If any clause,\nsentence, paragraph, or part of this title shall for any reason be\nadjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such\njudgment shall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this\ntitle, but shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence,\nparagraph, or part thereof directly involved in the controversy in which\nsuch judgment shall have been rendered.\n
