§ 1045-z. Limited liability. Neither the members of the authority nor\nof the water board, nor any officer or employee of the authority nor the\nwater board acting in behalf thereof, while acting within the scope of\nhis authority, shall be subject to any liability resulting from (i) the\nconstruction, ownership, maintenance or operation of any project\nfinanced with the assistance of the authority, (ii) the construction,\nownership, maintenance or operation of any sewerage system or facility\nor water system or facility owned by the water board, or (iii) carrying\nout any of the powers expressly given in this title. A director, officer\nor employee of the authority shall be deemed an "employee" for the\npurposes of section fifty-k of the general municipal law, provided,\nhowever that any director, either appointed by the governor or an\nemployee of the state shall be deemed an "employee" for the purposes of\nsection eighteen of the public officers law for any actions relating to\ntheir activities as a director of the authority created by this title.\n
