§ 1020-yy. Severability. The provisions of this title are severable,\nand if any part or provision hereof, or the application thereof to any\nperson or circumstance, shall be adjudged by any court of competent\njurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such judgment shall not\naffect, impair or invalidate the remainder of this title or the\napplication of such provision to any other person or circumstance, but\nshall be confined in its operation to the provision, person or\ncircumstance directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment\nshall have been rendered.\n
