§ 13.30 Reimbursement for expenditures necessitated by negligent,\nwillful or reckless conduct. In addition to any other remedy which may\nexist, a person whose negligent, willful or reckless conduct results in\nan expenditure by the office for the purpose of effectuating a rescue\nshall be liable for the amount of such expenditure and shall reimburse\nthe office therefor. The attorney general may institute any proper\naction, suit or proceeding to recover the amount owed to the office as\nprovided in this section and any such amount so recovered shall be\ndeposited in the state treasury to the credit of the general fund. For\npurposes of this section, reckless conduct shall mean a failure to\nexercise reasonable care, reasonable caution or the foresight of a\nreasonably prudent and careful person, with a deliberate disregard for\nthe consequences of such conduct.\n
