§ 21-a. Actions against corporation. Except in an action for wrongful\ndeath, in any case founded upon tort a notice of claim shall be required\nas a condition precedent to the commencement of an action or special\nproceeding against the agency and the provisions of section fifty-e of\nthe general municipal law shall govern the giving of such notice. No\nsuch action shall be commenced more than one year and ninety days after\nthe cause of action therefor shall have accrued. An action for wrongful\ndeath shall be commenced in accordance with the notice of claim and time\nlimitation provisions of title eleven of article nine of the public\nauthorities law.\n
