Waiver of professional continuing education requirements

§ 308-a. Waiver of professional continuing education requirements.\nNotwithstanding any provision of general, special or local law, code or\nordinance, or rule or regulation to the contrary, no person in military\nservice, as defined in section three hundred one of this article, who\nwas licensed, registered or certified to engage in a profession or\noccupation prior to entering into military service, shall be required to\ncomplete the continuing education requirements for such profession or\noccupation for any entire licensing, registration or certification\nperiod during which such military service occurs, and where such\nmilitary service is partially within a licensing, registration or\ncertification period, such continuing education requirements shall be\nreduced proportionately so that such individual is not required to\ncomplete such requirements while in military service.\n
