Application of certain amendments, repeals or additions to former mental hygiene law

§ 91.02 Application of certain amendments, repeals or additions to\n          former mental hygiene law.\n  (a) An act of the legislature of the year in which this act shall have\nbecome a law which, in form, amends or repeals or purports to amend or\nrepeal any provision or provisions of the former mental hygiene law, as\nin force immediately prior to the date that this act shall take effect,\nshall be legally effective notwithstanding the repeal of such former law\nby this act and shall be construed as an amendment, or repeal, as the\ncase may be, of the corresponding provision or provisions of this act\nirrespective of whether such provision or provisions are contained in\nthis act in one or more than one article, section, subdivision or other\npart thereof and such corresponding provision or provisions shall be\ndeemed and construed to be amended, modified, changed or repealed as\nthough the same had been expressly and in terms so amended or repealed.\n  (b) An act of the legislature of the year in which this act shall have\nbecome a law which adds or purports to add a new article, section,\nsubdivision or other provision of law to the former mental hygiene law,\nas in force and effect immediately prior to the date that this act shall\ntake effect, shall be legally effective notwithstanding the repeal of\nsuch former law by this act and shall be construed as having been added\nto this act and shall be given full effect according to its context as\nif the same had been added expressly and in terms to this act and shall\nbe deemed and construed to have been inserted in this act in\njuxtaposition to and as modifying the effect of the corresponding\nprovision or provisions of this act.\n
