Substance use disorder education and recovery grants

* § 19.45 Substance use disorder education and recovery grants.\n  (a) The office shall develop and implement a program which provides\ngrants to organizations engaged in activities which are dedicated to\nproviding education, prevention, treatment or recovery to those\nsuffering from substance use disorders.\n  (b) On or before the first day of February each year, the state\ncomptroller shall certify to the governor, temporary president of the\nsenate, speaker of the assembly, chair of the senate finance committee\nand chair of the assembly ways and means committee, the amount of money\ndeposited in the substance use disorder education and recovery fund,\nestablished pursuant to section eighty-nine-j of the state finance law,\nduring the preceding calendar year as the result of revenue derived\npursuant to section six hundred twenty-nine-b of the tax law.\n  (c) On or before the first day of February each year, the commissioner\nof addiction services and supports shall provide a written report to the\ntemporary president of the senate, speaker of the assembly, chair of the\nsenate finance committee, chair of the assembly ways and means\ncommittee, chair of the senate committee on mental health and\ndevelopmental disabilities, and chair of the assembly mental health\ncommittee. Such report shall include how the monies of the substance use\ndisorder education and recovery fund were utilized during the proceeding\ncalendar year and shall include:\n  (1) the amount of money dispersed from the fund;\n  (2) recipients of awards from the fund;\n  (3) the amount awarded to each recipient; and\n  (4) the purposes for which such awards were granted.\n  * NB There are 2 § 19.45's\n
